Best route from Branson MO to Ok City?

Leaving Branson, MO tomorrow for Oklahoma City. Google is saying I44 west to I 40. I'm looking at US 65 South to I 40 West Thoughts and opinions please.

If you have an extra day before arriving in OKC I would suggest leaving Branson to Petit Jean State Park and then OKC from there

US 65 north to I-44 west to OKC is the easiest and probably fastest. I-44 is a toll road in OK. Don't remember exactly how much it was from state line to OKC but you can find it on their web site. Not scenic but easy.

US 65 south to US 412 west to I-49 south to I-40 west to OKC is another relatively easy route. Scenic, at least until I-40. US 412 is a smaller highway and a little winding, but no problem towing our 35' 5er.

US 65 all the way to I-40 would be a lot longer.

another route is north on US65 to US60 west at Springfield, then I-49 south to I-40.

Our map shows 65 south as being `scenic'. That to me means stay off it. It's one of the worst roads I have ever been on in that it goes up and down and around. Never again.
If you try it, however, let us all know how you liked it.
