We are thinking of going to Brown County State Park in Indiana. Can someone tell me how is the best way to get to the park. Will be coming from the west on I-74. Would you take I-74 to I-65 to Rt 46 or I-74 to Rt 231 to Rt 46. Thanks.

Thanks everyone. I may go the I65 going and 231 home.

ibrjet, I retired from ISU. Normal is a nice community.

Got to remember the west entrance. We will be going later this summer.

It is signed very prominently. The other entrance has a covered bridge so no RV's or TT's. A pop up is fine. Since you will be coming from the east (65) you will just drive past the north entrance to the T stoplight intersection at Nashville, turn left and the west entrance is a couple miles up the road on your left. Pretty simple & nothing to worry about.

I don't know your schedule, but high school graduations start locally in Brown County's surrounding counties in the next two weeks. Just info.

Be sure to set gps or route for the WEST ENTRANCE! There is a covered bridge on the main entrance that will not allow large Rv's or trailers through (it is a long drive around the park if you make an error here). You can come and go from the main entrance after you are set up, just don't try to fit the Rv through it. We were there for spring break week and practically had the place to our selves this is a fantastic park and area! If you plan to use the water park in the lodge do it on a week day and call for availability as sometimes they close it to non lodge guests if they are full.

I74 to 465S to 65 is the easiest. I have a daughter that lives in Normal and I went to college there as well.

The i 74 to 231 to rt 46 there is a lot of hilly, curvy roads, but the scenery is the best. The 65 to 46 is the quickest way to get there.
