Anyone going? Our on again/off again trip to Alaska is on again.

Hate to commit to dates for set places on set dates on such a long trip & make reservations but we are going to try & make Chickenstock the first weekend of June. Never pass up on a bluegrass festival if it is possible to make.

We are Full Timers, but retired from and use Lubbock, Texas as home base.

You can see our trip logs and photos for our 2005, 2009, and 2013 Alaska trips at the website in my signature.

Fulltimers. No more grass to cut, no more leaves to rake, and can move if we don't like our neighbors.

Have driven or camped in 49 states. Have camped in all Provinces in Canada.

We went in 2009 and 2013 and it was great both time so we highly recommend it. If you go we recommend you try and plan time for a day trip to Eagle. It is a great drive.

There is also a good one in late July, the "Cantwell Bluegrass Festival". Cantwell is in the Denali area. Had free parking in town next to the local motel. We dry camped but some of the units were plugged into the 15 amp service at the motel; the plugs used for block heaters in the winter.

You'll be a month ahead of us. We'll be leaving PA on July 1.
We might be the one closing the door for everyone when we leave Alaska.
