WDW gives us Florida residents a good deal on annual tickets. We have them and get up to WDW about 8 to 10 times a year to stay at the Fort. Works out to be about 40 to 50 nights a year, most years. We take our 9 and 10 year old grandsons with us most of the time. We were just up there last week for a week. The glowing reports listed above are true, the place is the best run campground where we have ever stayed and the one we judge others by. The sites are cleaned, checked and ready when assigned. The Fort is the only place I know of that vacuums the streets in the early morning, collects trash several times a day, along with recycle. The comfort stations are cleaned several times a day and are checked by management in-between cleanings. We don't pay much more at the Fort than we do when we go to Key West and camp.
We normally have 6 or 8 standing reservations at any one time. I already have two weeks reserved for next Christmas, a week each at Halloween and Thanksgiving, plus some others for family birthdays, etc. Some days when just my wife and I go, we will often not leave the campground to go to any of the parks.
Disney knows how to run a campground, along with a lot of other things found there. LOL On our last visit, they announced that there were 73,000 employees working at WDW that day, accounting for a local payroll of just over $6,000,000 a day.
