Exploring Indian Country in Arizona/Utah.

I'm planning on exploring the northeastern parts of Arizona, starting about Flagstaff. Next on I-40 to Winslow, north on hwy 87, east on hwy 264 to Hubbell Trading Post, then north to Chinle on hwy 191 to Bluff, Utah. Then down 163 to Monument Valley and returning to Flagstaff. Need to find out from actual users to find if this is a good plan or not. Will be travelling in Nov-Mar without my RV. This part of the country really looks like someplace I'd like to visit! Thanks for any input you can give me.

Also, be sure NOT to take any weapons on the res. Get yourself in jail pretty quick that way. Not allowed on the res without permission of the Indian police.

This "Four Corners" area is our favorite destination in all the US. There are lots of places to visit if you are interested in ancient culture, geologic landforms, wildlife, and Native stuff. I've found the Navajo and Hopi people there among the friendliest of all Americans toward tourists.

Most all the roads are suitable for RV travel. Except for Moki Dugway. Plenty of good CG's and RV parks. Your route looks fine -- probable snow and cold at times, but then you're from Canada, eh?
