Off or a week-10 day jaunt into an area south of Vanderhoof. Reading a book about a rancher back in there in the 40's. Googled named lakes and decided to take a look. No cel, no gas, no nuttin. Am packing 100 liters of gas on a rack off the rear hitch.

If you are a reader...Grass Beyond the Mountain and Rancher Takes a Wife.

We've spent several weeks traveling together with Gary and Maya (and Sharon) and they are great traveling companions. Maya is indeed a great co-pilot, unless there is a tennis ball rolling around on the dashboard. Gary also can have issues with focus.

The pup looks like a Jack Russell cross. Bet it's a great co-pilot.

Enjoy your trip.

I spent a lot of time in that area while living in Prince George. Lots of pretty lakes with good fishing and BCFS campgrounds which are clearings with a table and an outhouse for amenities. If you like fishing try Lavoy lake before it turns and the fish go muddy. Take Rich Hobson's writings with a grain of salt, my mother knew him well and according to her he tended to exaggerate. :B

You'll love it! We've just recently spent a week a Takysee Lake. It was great!
