Lake Huron in September

We are planning a trip along the Canadian side of Lake Huron in early September (after our Labor Day), stopping in some of the provincial parks along the way. Will we be able to find sites that will fit our rig (35' motor home with toad) and will we need reservations? Thanks for any input.

Riverside 4 is my favorite campground in southwestern Ontario. reservations likely wont be necessary but would be recommended especially on the weekends.

Riverside Area One has tons of spots for big rigs but if you need to be sure and hey it's not any cheaper to do bookings or just show up...........so book it.

BTW Inverhuron is also a little gem of a park a couple hours up the road from Pinery. 50 amp sites av there and yes bring LOTS of cord.

If you have the time, try to visit "Canada's Prettiest Town" - Goderich.

You can stay at Point Farms Provincial Park, on Highway 21 just north of the town.

Ontario Provincial Parks have sites with electricity only (no water or sewer on the campsite but there are water spigots and a dump station with potable water).

Be sure to bring a long extension cord since two sites use one power pedestal.

Enjoy "Ontario's West Coast". BTW, the sunsets are magnificent.

You shouldn’t have trouble finding sites that will fit. I would recommend making reservations. Weekdays you might be ok but they still fill up on weekends in September. Use this link and select the park, dates and appropriate equipment size on the reservations page.
