My grandparents had a cabin on Chatcolet (southern most part of the lake system) near Heyburn State Park in the 50's and 60's. Spent many great summers there.

We have stayed at this place a few times. Blackwell Island

A few miles west of Couer D'Alene is Liberty Lake Regional Park. You can find it under Spokane County Parks and Rec.
