First of the month another funeral of an Aunt in Monroe City, Ind .
We went I24 to the Pennyrile Pky. Went a few miles north following GPS where the Pennyrile now intercepts I24. Use to end on US41 jut up from Hopkinsville/Ft Campbell exit of I24. Wasted a half hour of driving.
We noticed a few miles up the road future I69 alignment
Still further on I69 signs and the continued pat the I65 exit of the Pennyrile near Elizabetown. Is it possible the new I69 route will bypass Indianapolis and Louisville?
That would shorten trips a good hour and a half to 2 hours to Michigan or back.
Right now I69 ends and I65 beings after that horrible loop and traffic back up.
Maybe a few years of light traffic and not part of some city's major road plan?

Guess we are just lucky. Our RV park is just off the only completed portion of I-69 in Texas. Used to be US Hwy 59. We are 28 miles NE of downtown Houston.

That isn’t a future route. From 24, 69 currently goes east on the former Western Kentucky Parkway to what used to be the Pennyrile, then north through Evansville and onto Bloomington. Another leg from Bloomington to Martinsville will be open by fall. It follows Indiana 37. Construction on the final connection to 465 in Indy is expected to start this year.

There is a discontinuity at Henderson as there is no bridge yet. 4 lane surface street through town on 41. No turns, but a few lights. Been through it many times pulling boat and 5th wheel and it’s no big deal

69 doesn't and won't go anywhere near Louisville.

69 would take you very close to Monroe City as there are exits at Petersburg and Washington.

The i69 from Michigan to Texas or NAFTA Super Highway, I ha forgotten about.
This possibly explains everything around that part of Indiana exploding with dirty industry and poultry processing plants etc.
At night or after dew sets in it really stinks.
I remember many gran times on Uncles Farm and another's Apple and Peach Orchards, and the clean waters and fishing and total silence. Ten or more miles to paved road and much more to a store.
Wolves dened in a large hollow round the Orchards.
Even reports of Elk and a few deer and loads of phesants an foxes chasing them across roads in the corn fields. In Vincense there are new motels and business that ten years ago wwere fields and nobody to do any shopping. Lots of Illegals now.
The White River that perdue umps into is nothing but a cesspool.
Driving over it(not much more than ditch) is so bad it must be dangerous to breathe.
