Afternoon All,

I am taking the trip above towing my 26 RLS. Good Sam trip planner has me taking the Harbor Tunnel, or McHenry Tunnel to get through Baltimore but it also gives me propane warnings. Can I get through the tunnel with my two propane tanks? Any route suggestions folks?

My next step has me going through Atlanta to get to Nashville. Is there an alternate route or do I just pay the price for loving the road and go through Atlanta?

Thanks in advance,
Hector

Do you need to go to Atlanta? If not I81 to I40 is much more direct. I'm thinking you left out some of your plans. You can totally avoid Baltimore/DC area too.

Thanks 25E. I'll be coming from Mercer County. I will check that route out.

Also if you do go that route there is some two lane sections around Leesburg VA. But still a nice drive and you stay off the beltway.

Not sure where in NJ you are coming from but when we go to Fredericksburg we take PA route 15 south and then pick up route 17 to Fredericksburg. You could take the turnpike to route 15 south. Just another option.

Hector Bravo,

Your post title says you want to go to Richmond Hill,GA before Nashville? The Richmond Hill, GA I know of is just South of Savannah off of I-95. From there to Nashville by interstate it would be I-10 to I-75 to I-24.

Yes, that is the route Good Sam is giving me. I'm wondering if I should take 285 to 407 to get around Atalanta.
I am not that familiar with the area, Sorry. Perhaps checking DOT or local traffic/construction reports just prior to your trip through that area will help. We always try to avoid rush hour when passing through/near any major metropolitan area.
Safe travels!

We did southern NJ (Clarksboro) to Fredricksburg KOA in a day going over the Delaware Mem. Bridge, 13 to 40 to US301. Took us just under 6 hours with a lunch stop. The first 20 miles on 301 was thump-thump concrete but the rest was fine.

When I went to Nashville, I took the PA pike west to 81... Took 81 south to Knoxville and jumped on 40 west....much better than going towards Atlanta, unless you want or need to? No Baltimore,( Can't take the tunnels anyway) , no DC , no Fredericksburg , no 95 ...

Fredericksburg is a must do for us. We are visiting family who live in the area.

I have done 81 to Knoxville on my motorcycle. That is a nice traveling road!

Thanks.

Then try 95 to Richmond and hop on 85 south.. Take it towards Charlotte and get 40 west ...
