Headed to Moab. Has anyone taken hwy 89 out of Spanish Fork, Utah then, hwy 6 and 191 to Green River? Was hoping to get off interstate but don't want to get too far out away from gas stations etc. Thanks
I've been towing that route for years. When the weather turns cold up here in the SLC area we often head to Moab to escape the temperature inversions and see the sky for a few days. Except for when it's actually snowing, the route is even pretty good in the winter. No gas station issues.
2015 Ram 3500 Laramie CTD, 4X4, AISIN, B&W Companion Puck Mount 2016 Heartland Bighorn 3270RS, 1kw solar with Trimetric and dual SC2030, 600 watt and 2k inverters.
Plenty of fuel stops, like at Price and at Green River.
However, 89 through Provo and Springville is city traffic, stop and go. For me, it's easier to continue south a bit on I-15 down to the intersection with US6.
