Let's try this again.

We are making our first trip to the Motorcycle rally this summer. We will begin the journey from the Detroit Mi area.

We will be there the week before the rally starts.

Any suggestions for routes and stops for night would be appreciated.

I managed to luck out and get assigned to work the 50th. Law enforcement assignment.

Nuts is putting things mildly. Course, normal may have also been a correct description.

We've been to the rally many times. Before we head to our site in Sturgis, we stop for the night at Belvidere KOA right off I 90. That puts you about 2 hours out of Sturgis which makes for an easy drive in. I like to get into Sturgis in the mid-morning hours to beat traffic, which can be a bear, even a week before the rally starts.

sdcoa.org will give you info on camps, public and private in SD. Take time to see the corn palace in Mitchell, Badlands nat. park and Wall Drug in Wall.
