Where are we?

It is January. For most of us there will be near on 100 days before we have wheels spinning again.

Here is a game that Bermuda visitors would play with their pics of trips to Bermuda.

Post a pic. One at a time to avoid confusion.

Whoever identifies posts the next or defers to somebody else.

If it is not identified in a 24hr (soak), either the poster identifies or somebody posts another.

Try to make subjects fairly well known places.

My idea, so I get to start.

The first one is real easy.

I'm gonna leave you all with one last pic before I get on a plane Thursday, then a boat & head out Friday or Saturday to be internet deprived for maybe 4 weeks.

Imagine that!

Mt Washington (NH) Cog Railway. They now run one steam train a day; the rest of the runs use small diesel locomotives. Progress? I think not!

Winner!!! I did not know about the diesel Locomotives. Thanks.

Yup, got the right boat

While we were there these guys did a concert in the park nearby. Love a steel band & these kids were goooood.

That would be the Petosky High School Steel Drum Band and they will be back at the same location on July 10, 2013. They went to the Marti Gras in New Orleans this year and have their summer schedule posted online.

EDIT: Talk about unstumpable, we can even identify a picture of a bunch of kids. 🙂

This one doesn't even get a picture. The only major US city, except Juneau, Alaska, that is located north of a Canadian border.

Got my doubts, but the road up Pikes Peak?

Pikes Peak it is.
I first drove up the Pikes Peak road in 1978. Driving a 22' Class C on a Ford chassis with a 302 cubic inch engine. On some of the steeper grades I was barley moving in low gear. I knew that if I stopped that I could never move up again.:E I was truly relieved when reaching the top.:)
