Do you think Moab Valley, Canyonlands, or Archview is the nicest? We are traveling with kids. Thanks!

Not on your list, but I would strongly recommend Dead Horst Point SP if you can get in. Electric only, but there is a dump station. Amazing views and cooler than in Moab as it is higher up. Great views from the CG and hikes right from the CG to the rim. Coming from Ohio, your kids will be in awe and entertained just by what is around your campsite. It will seem almost alien compared to what they are used to.

You'll see rentals everywhere in the West in summer. Many Europeans take their vacation at that time and rent their RV. You'll blend right in!

Instead of TripAdvisor I'd recommend you use this site:

Maybe it was just a few disgruntled campers. I was looking at reviews on Trip Advisor.

Don't understand your comment about the rental side of Portal. We have stayed in the resort area and lastly on the cheaper side. We think the non-resort area is better and don't remember rental RVs lined up there. Resort side, in our opinion, does not offer anything for those of us that are seeing the sites and not just relaxing all day beside the camper or by a pool. Not sure you can use the pool on the resort side anyway. By the way, we stayed in a CG at Monument Valley with a entire row of rentals next to us. Didn't have a problem with that!

I have stayed at Archview and iirc it was site 65 which looks towards Arches instead being close to the highway. It's close to 313 if you are going to Gemini bridges or canyonlands.

I have also stayed at Canyonlands in downtown Moab. It's tighter but walkable to grocery and restaurants.
