Considering Florida for spring break 2014. We did disney this year so not looking to do that next year. We would love a park like ocean lakes in myrtle beach where you camp right on the ocean and can have a golf cart to tool around in. Does anything like ocean lakes exist in Florida? Tks

I very much doubt that golf cars are allowed.

I know that he mentioned Florida and didn't specify where, but I don't think there's any comparison to the gulf side.

With a view and a viewing platform like that you won't want a golf cart. Great photo!

You might want to take a look at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin

Double ditto on Destin. The Florida panhandle is beautiful.... You will want to walk the beaches slowly and the restaurants have great food. You won't want the golf carts. Most of the cgs there are smaller and pedestrian friendly instead of the oversized parking lots of Ocean Lakes.

I believe Camp Gulf is a lot tighter between sights and about $30 or more a night than OL.

CecilT if you want to head that way then I would highly recommend Topsail State park. Full hookups including cable tv. Swimming pool and more. While you can't have the cart there, you can take your bikes and ride around. It's not a huge place. The only downside is that you can not see the beach from the sites and need to walk or ride down the path to it. Only about 5 minutes on bikes. Or you can take the tram thing that goes on the hour. But when we went last year or the year before it was only like $40/night. Pads are paved also.

Camp Gulf in Destin Florida is on the Gulf. Not sure about golf carts. Don't really know of any.
