Boondocking safety-Are you armed?

Looking for suggestions regarding Boondocking safety. With California RV camping spaces tough to get, I have been looking at secluded, boondocking areas and issues. Thanks

Did you NEED it?
If you normally don't, why carry it?

No different, it's just comforting to know you have it.

What is so difficult about carry if you choose, do NOT carry if you choose and allow each other to exercise their choice WITHOUT all the put downs.

If you take out the 4 cities with the high murder rates the rest of the country ranks in the bottom half of all countries. 60% of the gun deaths are suicides.

All the highest crime areas of the US have the most stringent gun control laws. Care to guess why! Here in Wyoming, we have the highest per capita firearms ownership of any of the 50 states....yet we are among the lowest in crime rates! In Switzerland firearm ownership is required...military assault rifles (Sig 550) are issued to all men above 20 years of age (unless deemed unqualified) and participate in the militia. Switzerland has the lowest crime rate in the world,

No paranoia here, just being cautious and prepared. I assume you don't lock your rv door when you boondock.

What does locking my door have to do with carrying a gun?

Locking my door is due to many reasons - including making sure it's really closed so the dogs can't get out by mistake. The only time I lock it for security is when I'm away from it.

No one has said you can't have a gun. Just some folks don't see the need to carry one everywhere they go.

Then there's the story about the cop who pulled over a 65 year old woman. When she handed him her CHL he asked what she was carrying.

A 9 on her hip, a .380 in an ankle holster and a .45 in the console, was the answer.

I guess the simplest way to put it is that, Nobody has ever come up to me and said, "Thank god , you werent carrying today".
But I have had the opposite occur twice.
