CG near Duke Cancer Center?

I have to go to Duke for a week soon and we would like to stay in our TT rather than a hotel if possible. Daily treatments of about an hour so we need to be close enough to commute back and forth without a long drive.

We stayed at Spring Hill in Chapel Hill once when my sister was in the hospital there but it is a bit too far we think from Duke.

Closest thing we have found is Birchwood RV Park, but reviews are mixed. Newer reviews are better it seems. Anyone stayed there recently?

Also found a place called Triangle RV Park but not much info on it. Anyone know about it?

Other suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks for all the replies. Still not decided on what to do, but got some places to check out anyway.

Volunteer that worked at the centre in 2014 told us most extended visitors stayed at Birchwood. WM at that time also used to allow O/N parking = maybe worth checking out as a back up for an odd day or two in between.

FWIW: to others with family being treated under age 21, there is a Ronald McDonald House also.

The NC State Fairgrounds CG is just off I-40 and about twenty miles east of the hospital - figure a half hour to forty five minute drive if you catch work traffic. Full hookups with 20 and 50 amp service.

This may be the same campground that is mentioned above, but I think it's about 25 minutes away.

Falls lake state recreation area is about 15 miles.

The Rolling hills campground there is open year round.

Edit, as per Merrykalia, I was referring to Rolling View.
Good luck with the process.
