DH and I are looking into camping here for Memorial Day. I'm looking for feedback from anyone that has stayed there. There are reviews that I've found, but would like additional information.

You're welcome. They can be found on line too, click here. If you plan on going, make sure to call ahead for reservations. They have a couple that come and stay in site 6, where we were, for 3 months over the summer. Site 7 is a good one, as would be 5, 4, and 3.

Hey thanx for more pics!

I like pics a lot...
Always the best way to make me want to escape to somewhere.
That's one of those sweet spots that are still hiding out there.

Thought I would post more photos here for those of you interested -

This is a view of the area separating the highway from the RV park. In the background is one of the cabins with Torrey's Burnt Creek Inn office behind it.

This is a side view of Site 7

Another view of Site 7 - big enough for our fifth wheel and the night before we left, a 35' Class A moved into it. The owner said that some people park sideways so that their window side faces the river.

This is a view of the RV road circle taken from the field between our site, site 6 and site 7

This is a view of the RV park from our site, site 6. Notice the cabins and horse corrals. What you are looking at are sites 1 - 5 - all on grass and all 20/30 amp with electricity and water.

Another look of the grass behind sites 1 - 5 that border the horse corrals, with the cabins the back. Behind the horse corrals is a pasture that is down a hill by the river. The horses graze in that lower field in the morning, then moved to the corrals in the evening. The owners then let us run our dogs in the lower paster by the river. it was super nice.

Another view of the field behind sites 1 - 5 and you can kind of see a path behind the corral fence, the way to the lower pasture.

Another view

Another view of the central, only road. As you can see, you could easily get around the circle with any rig - there's a pull through, site 10 closer to the road and entrance that would be an easy in and out. It's over behind the trees to the left by that picnic table.

Finally was able to download the photos from my camera to my laptop. Here's pictures of our site at Torrey's - site 6. There are 10 sites in this RV park - all with full hookups. It's a circle, so it's an easy in and out. The owners are very accommodating. Letting you park your rig either straight back or sideways if you want. Plenty of room between sites.

View of the Salmon River

Great satellite site

Great spot -- I'll put them in my list of places to stop and see when in Idaho.

Thanks for sharing the Great Looking shots.

It's definitely in a canyon. Winds whipped down through it several times a day, but still beautiful.

I worked building the mine there along time ago. I stayed at the hot springs in Challis though. I was told back then that in the dead of winter they can only nphysically see the sun for 15 min because of being in the canyon there.
