Thinking of snowbirding somewhere along the Colorado River where we can drop our small inflatable boat into the water. Needles, Havasu, Parker, etc.... Wondering how cold it gets there in Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb. I'm not too familiar with the area - thoughts?

moabi regional park just east of needles on the river has some great sites next to the river. It was at one time a killer deal of 250/mo. with full power and water and free honey truck. I think now they charge 450/mo. but for that you still get some excellent on water sites with power and water and now sewage hookups too.

our site at sunrise looking at the "needles".

and late afternoon...

We spend every winter just north ofParker. It all depends on the year. Some it's sort of chilly and others it's warmer. Still better than staying in the desert.

Further south in Yuma, I've seen 36 degree mornings, but it usually warms up to 60-70 during Dec-Jan. Nov and Mar will be nice..
This web site will give you lots of info on each place, scroll down to the weather graphs:
