One is Zooland, been there a few times. They've made upgrades, the kids like it pretty good. I'd only stay in the W/E sites down by the river as the FHU sites are just not good. Wifi and cable weren't great there, but really like the downtown Asheboro and local restaurants. Enjoy it when Grammie or someone else we know is camping nearby!

Two new ones I've been wondering about for a while. Tanglewood in Clemmons- have to ride a little ways to use their waterpark and pool and other amenities, but it looked like a nice place when we drove through. No site campfires though, kind of bummer. Only $31 a night FHU, wifi, and cable.

Heritage Campground in Carthage. Wifi appears recent, no cable- I mean hey, do you want to camp or pretend you're still at home! Looks like a beautiful CG, haven't heard much about it.
Planning on staying the first weekend of June.

They do have level spots. I wrote down the good ones and you can request them

I remember a lot of sloping sites when we drove through a year or so ago.

We are looking for somewhere to go not too far from us. Prefer a level paved pad. Need to test out the motor home.

Yes it does. $6 per person per day.

Does the pool and aquatic center cost extra? Tanglewood is on our list.

We're at Tanglewood right now. Lots to do. Canoeing, horseback riding, pool, biking trails. I'm on their wi-fi right now. We're in site 1. Level site. Power a bit "iffy" with all the hot weather demand. Not sure if it's that way in all sites. Cable works great. OK water pressure. Lots of shade. Good bargain. Convenient to restaurants, grocery store. Nice hosts.

Tanglewood does not have a lot of sites. It would concern me if the power is "iffy" because everyone is using their A/Cs because it is hot hot at the end of May. What would it be like in the middle of August? I am not knocking Tanglewood as we may stay there this summer for a few days - but I am surprised that they can't keep the power up with demand - since what one is primarily paying for on a space is the electricity. Otherwise one could be boondocking anywhere.
