Find Campground on Specific Route/Highway?

Hi all! We're taking a road trip this summer from the Bay Area of California to the Albuquerque area for a family reunion. I'm hoping to find a campground approximately halfway in between for us to spend a night. I can't find a website that allows me to do this, i.e. search by route. Anyone have any tips? I'm sure I'm just not looking in the right place. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks!

The RV Park Reviews, Passport America, Allstays, Free Campgrounds, Free Campsites, U.S. Campgrounds,
Ultimate Public Campground Project, and Corps of Engineers Campgrounds websites will display campgrounds on a map at least by state. If you have a GPS or mapping program the Discovery Owner's Forum and POI Factory have a large variey of downloads that you can import and then see the campground POI's along your chosen/potential route(s).
Safe travels!

That's about 1100 miles -- are you planning to do that in two days? It can be done, but it won't be easy. What kind of a rig do you have?

The only way I know is to use a site that shows CG on a map (rvparkreview for one) and visually find the area that you are looking for. Or you can pick a town that is approximately where you want to stop and search for CG near that town.
