Hello Folks,

We will be passing by the Four Corners Monument and would like to stop and visit. We will be driving a 45' motor home and towing our car. My question is Can we pull in and park at the Four Corners Monument? I have not been able to reach them by phone to ask this question.

If any of you have been there and know the answer please let us know.

Thank you so much in advance!

Stopped there on a 6 months trip around the US without the wife and found some really nice and unusual jewellery to take home for peace offerings. I thought it was nice to see and visit. Am planning another trip to take her there. I was driving a 38ft class A with a toad. Lots of parking.

It's a bucket list thing! See the monument (take pic if you want), eat some fry bread, buy the wife a trinket. Now you've been there!

It is a tourist trap! Nothing but a very small monument with markings on the ground and the small post. Many vendors give it a carnival feel with sideshow like barkers. There are many awe inspiring things to see and contemplate in the area including Mesa Verde, Hovenweep, Ute Mountain Tribal Park, Canyons of the Ancients, Anasazi Heritage Center, and the Trail of the Ancients Scenic Byway. Why waste your time with tourist trap?

As the linked post above states, some are disappointed by the area and some reports show it's in the wrong place...... but I think it's a fun stop, especially if you are passing by anyway. I wouldn't travel hundreds of miles out of my way but it's a good quick stop for a photo op and there are often some nice Navajo crafts for sale.

Yes it is in the right place.

It is what it is and as I've been, and been Photographed there, although much younger, might just be something some still enjoy.

We were in the area so went there. Not what I had expected but glad we went. Talked to many of the vendors there and others are correct in that it is not a lot of poor folks. Talked to one older lady in a sales booth who was well traveled and and had a master's degree from NMSU. Talked to another very impressive anf infotmed young lady who talked about the tribes capabilities, how they were getting rid of contractor run operations and managing vast resources themselves. All in all not necessarily what I expected but sure am glad we stopped.

Yes, there is a very large parking area. There is also a per person charge of $5 (I think) or $10.
