Looking for a good private CG on Hood Canal for several nights. Want at least water & electricity. Have googled Hoodsport area but would like input. We have camped all over Washington but not Hood Canal. Would be coming over on the Edmonds Ferry. Lake Cushman, Hoodsport, Seabeck, etc. areas.

Also not to ignore your Private Park request but Belfair State Park is also wonderful and there is a loop with sites right on the canal with full hook-ups.
I am NOT a mechanic although I do play one in my garage!

Rest-A-While. Pay the extra bucks and get a water front site. I realize you said private but Dosewollips is a nice state park. If you don't need to be right on the canal, there is the Little Creek Casino south of Shelton and it is a nice RV park for a base camp.

We have stayed at Rest Awhile in Hoodsport. The water side sites are ok, you get a canal view from all of them. Full hookups.

We spent a week at the Glyn-Air and had a good time.

The sites are small but it has a dock right on the canal and my son caught more fish there than he ever caught anywhere before. They also had a nice hot tub.

We stayed at The Waterfront at Potlatch. IMHO site 15 is the best followed by 14. if you get 1,2,3,4 you will be close to the road and not happpy
