I-80 Across Nebraska & Iowa

Heading to Illinois for HS Reunion mid July. Would like suggestions for RV parks and/or free sites close to I-80. Plan to take 3-4 days to cover 960 miles. Truck stops, Wal-Mart, or whatever for 6-7 hour nap. RV park for 1 or 2 nights

Between Seward and York just off I80 at MM360 sits Double Nickel campground. Great little park with great services, good WiFi and clean restrooms. Young couple took over early this year and do a bang up job. Highly recommended!!

Kansas Point Campground on Lake Maloney south on N Platte. There are several RV parks in town as well, right on the highway. But the lake is pretty nice.

Seward and Utica are near the interstate and both have city parks with camping.
Beaver Crossing also had a campground, but got blown away in a tornado so would not try that one.

Lake Ogallala. North of Ogallala about three miles. Beautiful. I'm partial as I grew up there. Great fishing too!!

If you have a smartphone or tablet, the Allstays app. shows lots of WalMarts, truck stops, rest areas and campgrounds along your route.
Money well spent.

Not much to choose from for RV Parks on that route. If you are Passport America Sunny Meadows is a good bet, but not really worth full payment. Nothing but an open gravel lot with hook-ups and some permanent residents. Longer sites are at south end.
