I would agree with all the above posters. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at North Beach again.

Well, I could give you the answer got on my last two questions, "Look it up, do your own research". But, in the spirit of friendly conversation... I go there every year for a week in March. We like the pull-through sites on the river side of the park. Love the sunsets, access to the river for boat watching and the antics of the "Friggin Pellagans". I'm not a beach person, so i'm not interested in the front part. The sites are huge, clean and privet (i couldn't see my neighbor).

I'll give it two thumbs up...

BEAUTIFUL campground. Ocean up the hill a short walk, Tolomato River down the hill a short walk. Sites are very nice, spacious, thick vegetation between the sites. We had pull thrus that were looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong. You could probably land an airplane on some of those sites! Speaking of airplanes, I think there is a nearby airport that caters to vintage planes because we got to see all kinds of old planes flying around. Not noisy at all, just really cool to see.

They have a restaurant at the campground and another one across the street. Apparently they are both pretty good, but I don't eat seafood, so I don't know. Short drive down to St Augustine, and a pretty island/inlet drive up to the outskirts of Jacksonville if you are so inclined.

The only "negative" is that the entire campground is sand. We have 2 little kids, so sand got tracked EVERYWHERE. An RV mat didn't really help... sand still got all over everything. I say negative in quotations because its the beach after all! Just a warning though =).

Great park, you should enjoy it!
