Park near San Bernardino Loma Linda Hospital

We have a 43' class A with a tow, and as my wife will need to get some treatment at the Loma Linda Hospital in San Bernardino, I wonder if any of you have a recommendation for a nice, quiet and safe RV park with full hookups in that area.

Thank you kindly.

Mission RV Park is the park that I was referring to in an earlier post. It was very convenient to the University(a mile or two away), and I did not have to deal with any freeways or traffic. I am from a small town and I thought it was very easy to get around in that area. Shopping center and restaurants were only about a mile or so from Mission RV park also.

My prayers are with your wife. I'm very familiar with the area, so let me share the following with you. About a year ago I found out that I would require MAJOR surgery at Loma Linda University. We checked out both the Reche Canyon RV park & San Bernardino RV park. Neither park is a 10/10/10, which is most definitely what we look for. (Knowing the traffic in the area, you do want to be as close as possible.) I'd have to agree that crime in San Bernardino is a problem, but my impression was that the park was as safe as many very nice parks we've stayed at. The road thru Reche Canyon does get busy during commuting hours, but that's So Cal. And, with all due respect to whoever suggested it, Big Bear is simply out of the question. We did see a couple of RV's parked near the hospital. We were told RV parking is available, so contact the hospital. For a short recovery time they should suffice. Might add, that my surgerical recovery time (I was projected to be hospitalized for 10 days after a 14hr. surgery) was long enough that we elected to rent an apartment and store the RV.

I do want to assure you that your wife will be in very good hands at this institution. Parking at the hospital is insane, so take advantage of the shuttle system coming from across the street for postsurgical visitations. (My wife often found that even the available valet service was full!). And food is horrible. It's all vegan, which isn't an issue to me, but it just tasted lousy. Having said that, that applies to what is referred to as the mothership - the main facility. If you are lucky enough to be using the off-site surgical center, parking is abundant, food is delicious (great scrambled eggs!) and private rooms.
This will all be behind you before you know it.

Prayers for your wife's recovery. We RVed while my wife received cancer treatments. It was much better than a hotel room.

If your wife is going to be admitted, you might check with the hospital to see if they have any sites for RVs. Many do.

Best wishes on her speedy recovery.

I drive by Reche Canyon RV Park 5-6 days a week, Loma Linda Hospital is about 10-15 minutes away from it. You also have Royal Truck stop at Hunts Lane and Steel Road, which is about 2 miles away from the RV park.
I will tell you that Reche Canyon is a major road for Moreno Valley and San Bernardino, but does get quiet after the main rush hour in the morning and early evening.

There is an RV park about 1/4 mile off the freeway(I-10) in Loma Linda. It is about a mile from Loma Linda Medical Center. The spaces are a little tight, but the owner is very nice about accommodating people that are there for medical reasons.

Big Bear Shores is relatively close http://www.bigbearshoresrv.com/ That would be my first choice.

Big Bear Shores? That is about an hour away with rough mountain roads that can become icy an snowy up through April. I would not recommend that at all.
