The Yellow (courthouse)line has been discontinued? Bummer!

Is the purple (North Parkway) line still running?

Maybe it won't be very crowded the week of 16th thru 22nd!:)

We have stayed at the River Plantation with grandchildren and really enjoyed it. Good location, but it is difficult to get out on the Parkway during busy times. Sites are level and utilities were good. I think it is now an RVC park (comprised of 10 campgrounds scattered throughout the south) but see no reason why that would be a problem. Great area for a combination of natural sights and touristy things.

We have been there. It's OK, but not our favorite. We have 2 daughters.

A friend of ours had trouble with the "security" and his kids riding their bikes. We won't go back.

Our favorite is Pine Mountain RV Park in Pigeon Forge or Jellystone in Cosby. Pine Mountain is right in the mix of things, but is a block or so off of the parkway, so you don't get the noise. The trolley runs through, but it runs through most of the campgrounds in the PF and Gatlinburg area.

Jellystone is about 30 minutes outside of Gatlinburg, so it's about 45 minutes from Pigeon Forge. During the summer, they have lots and lots of planned activities for kids as well as adults.

It is our go to spot when we are heading up to Pigeon Forge\Gatlinburg. Sites are mostly level, staff is fantastic, and close enough you can get out in the mix of things but far enough away to be away from the noise.

Been there a few times. Nice. Will go back again and again.

Located on a busy road so be patient getting in/out. Close to everything and is on the trolley route so you can use that if you don't feel like trying to find parking.
