Quail Roost campground

I wonder who on this forum went to Quail Roost Campground near Crystal River this past winter. I wonder who will be going back next winter also. I have never been there and am wondering what this campground is like. Do they have cable and wifi on each site. We went to Rock Crusher a couple of years ago and last winter to Wauchula, Fl. I am considering the Quail Roost nest year if I get some good reports on that campground. Anything good or bad about the campground will help me decide. Thanks for any info.

Interesting, we seem to be taking the same path. We were in Crystal River at Rock Crusher in Feb this year (and again next Feb) and in Wauchula in Jan. Sorry, can't help you with Quail Roost. We never made it up in that direction when we were there although we drove thru a couple other campgrounds in the area. Hard to beat Rock Crusher but when we left they were down to only 76 sites left unreserved for next winter and most of those were less desirable.

One of the regulars here winters there and has for years, so wait for him to weigh in. We own a home just down the road and our take is that Rock Crusher Canyon is 10x better. The one thing I do not like about Quail Roost is they are anti pet, any kind of pet, unless they have had a change of heart. Also, it is in the middle of nowhere.

It looks like you want to try different places. I would suggest Williston crossings in Williston, FL. Any questions PM me

haven't stayed there but did drive through. A "so-so" park. Wifi weak and unreliable. Look at www.rvparkreviews.com for Crystal River and read the reviews there. I like Williston Crossings in Williston, Quail Run in Wesley Chapel (near Tampa)
