RV parking in Reno and Las Vegas

In Reno, casinos are very tolerant, must be encouraging too as definitely they will dine or play the tables, of overnight RV parking in their lots.

In Las Vegas, I'm getting mixed reading even on their open parking lots. Not been there lately so I am not current. I don't even remember where we parked on our way to Zion NP from SoCal..

Anyone got the latest low down?

LOL......how nasty is it? Do they have hookers frequenting the place? Perhaps an alternate definition to "full hookup". Sounds like one of those must go to destinations.

I see a swarm and congestions with your advertisement, lol.:o

Your choices are:

* Circus Circus RV Park on the strip. It's pretty nasty, but so is the rest of Circus Circus. The only plus is that it's right on the strip. It's a long walk to the nicer casinos though.

* The Oasis RV Park at the south end of the strip. It's actually pretty nice, but it's too far to walk to the casinos and you either need to take their shuttle or an Uber/Lyft.

* Sam's Town KOA. It's in Sam's Town and not on the strip, but it's actually halfway decent. The KOA itself is just a big sweltering parking lot, but at least it isn't as nasty as Circus Circus. There are two decent casinos on either side of it, or it's a pretty short drive to the strip from there.

We've done the overnight boondocking thing in Mesquite on the way to Zion, and it was actually pretty decent. You just need to get there early enough to secure a spot. They also have a FHU RV area, but it's not free and it's harder to find availability.

The vibe in Mesquite is very different from Vegas though. It all depends on what you're looking for.

Add Clark County Shooting range, off strip but very nice view of the city nights. As a side that is the nicest range I have seen in my life, RV park is by the skeet range. Call ahead for entry & site assignment.

Casinos don't seem to realize the win-win if they allow RVs to park on their lot. As Walmart do as RVers shop for their supplies in the store.

The couple asking don't hit the tables but most likely would go into fine dining in the casino's hotel. They are sort of foodie and would always like to explore authentic Japanese cuisine in the area even if a little pricey. And in case they have too much sake and kampai, would like to spend overnight on the lot to avoid citations or the danger of driving with high blood alcohol levels.

I always email security for the casino property I will park overnight in. The answer will change from time to time. The city of Reno has an ordinance for overnight parking/sleeping in your RV. Some Casinos look the other way as long as you don't look like you are sleeping in your RV.

Mainstreet Station, downtown has a inexpensive pay RV parking lot... nothing fancy but 50 amps.

I would melt in that area without power for the air conditioner. Not being a casino fan, I see little reason to spend time in the area. I did stay one night to meet and eat with some online friends.
