We are meeting some snowbird friends at Tomoka SP in January. Read the reviews on RVParkReviews.com. After reading all the reviews, seems like this place is so so. Anyone have any experience at this SP either pro or con. Thanks for the help.

We were there a couple of years ago and really liked it. We camp out of a B, so parking/setting up is no issue. The park itself is really nice, quiet and convenient to most everything.
Our 2351D Phoenix Cruiser, Jack, has turned us from campers into RVers and loving it!

We didn't stay there, but drove thru in the toad( a few years ago) -- I felt the overhead limbs were a potential source of problems.

We've stayed at Tomoka SP. It's a nice enough park, but in generally is very shaded - welcome in the summer, I suppose. We were there in January. Anyway, here are some pictures and comments.

Enjoy your trip.

Agree with all these comments. We stayed there and had a good time. Rented canoes and had a scenic paddling experience.
Experience without good judgment is worthless; good judgment without experience is still good judgment!

It is an older Florida state park that has not been upgraded like some of them have so it is rustic and has a very sub tropical feel to it with everything that comes along with that.

It's a real nice park. Roads can be mighty tight horizontally and vertically.

Fl State Parks are conservative on size. Your TT should be fine. Way lower than. 30' class A.

My TT is 30ft, do any of you think I'll have trouble getting along the roads or in the site. The site is 20x40 with a 30ft maximum for the site.

It's in a great location. It's an old park, tight, heavy canopy. Designed a long time ago so it's for older, smaller rigs.

You have to take reviews with a grain of salt. People will give a park a poor review because it's old, has dirt sites and no concrete pad.

I can't take my DP in. Used to love to take our pop up and canoe there 30 years ago.

We stayed a couple of times. It's a nice park with good CG privacy and the roads are narrow. But I spotted some large fivers well back into the CG so it can be done. You are close to the beach too, only 30 mins or so. The water at Tomoka is not swimable.

An 8.1 rating at rvparkreviews is pretty good. 14 excellent, 14 good, 1 average, and 1 poor. Sounds pretty good to me. The recent bad review is from someone who seems to only give negative reviews (highest score a 6). He obviously didn't do his homework.

If you are more specific on what the reviewers stated that you have questions about, it may help.

We have stayed there a number of times Great little park, privacy between the sites.

Try to stay in sites near the entrance. Sites 1-10 & 94-97. Deeper into the park and the roads can be tight to maneuver.
