Good Sam and AAA are widely accepted for discounts.
And many will give a senior discount, even without AARP card.
And if you stay at KOAs (we often do) then that is a good card to have.
We have Good Sam, KOA, and AARP cards.
We pretty much just try to get what ever discount is available at where ever we stop for the night, rather than seek out specific parks that accept certain memberships. If we spent months on the road I may be a little more particular.

Many times I say "this is a Good Sam park would you like to see my card" and they say "that's OK we give everybody the 10% discount"

Passport America gives a 50% discount and the cost of membership can be returned with just two nights stay. The campgrounds we've stayed at were not destination type cg's, but were clean and good enough for a stopover. You need to be careful on the restrictions (time of year, days of the week, # of nts allowed) but I think the membership is worth it. Camp on!
