Anyone ever stay at Whittaker Creek BLM near Eugene Oregon? We are currently staying on the Oregon coast and need to go to Eugene to pick up prescriptions at Walgreens.
Can the campground at Whittaker Creek accommodate a 30' fifth wheel trailer? Is there enough water in the creek for swimming.

Thanks

So glad you enjoyed it! I consider it one of the best city-based free camping spots I've ever been to. Being right next to the river & trail is a treat.

Thanks nina_70

The Valley River Center worked out great and it is a pleasure being here. The river, park and bicycle trail are great. We are allowed 2 nights of free parking, which gives us plenty of time to restock the RV.
Just plugged 44.069704 -123.110905 into the GPS and it directed us right to the parking lot. There is only 1 other RV here

If you only need an overnight stay you can stay right on the river at Valley River Center. It's just a parking lot, but it's free and will fit any size. I've got directions HERE

We stopped there a couple of years ago. I think you may find some sites you can fit in although I'm not positive as we were in the TC. IIRC we had a pull-through but it wasn't a real large one. It was a nice campground with two sections one on each side of the small stream. We stayed across the stream. You cross the stream on a concrete slab which the stream flows over.

OK, correction. We did NOT have a small pull-through.
