Our outside night light was blocked when we opened the door, so it was hard to see the steps.. I put a marker light on the frame behind the steps, so now they are very well light,, I also put an LED bulb in it so it draws very little power.

actually it was very easy to run the wire,, the converter is in the cabinet below where I put the switch, the main harness ran thru the floor right there, took a couple of the screws that hold the underbelly on and was able to feed the wire right thru that, I did put a small piece of hose around the wire where it passed under the frame. I wanted to wire mine into the same switch that turns on the reg outside light, but would have been a real pain to do that.

Yes, we have one too. It came with it. Comes on with the porch light. It is very nice to have but I feel too bright. I will be replacing with a smaller LED. Your install is very nice.

I did similar mod to my RV/TT.

IMO, this should be minimum factory build.

You do great work.

My converter is just inside the door where I put the light,, there was already a hole in the floor for the other wires to go thru,, I just took a few of the screws out for the underbelly and put the wire out, I did drill and tap holes in the frame for the light, I think they were 1/4 20 x 3/4 bolts I used,,

Mine came with the light mounted and a switch inside. I do like the light.

Did you drill a hole through the floor for the wiring?
I'd like to do that, but it would mean dropping the underbelly shield.

Awesome. Did you drill holes in your frame for that? I like the lighted switch, it reminds you its on!

I have no outside lights, that would be nice.
