Thinking about installing a backsplash

We bought an older Hitchiker 5th wheel and I am seriously thinking about putting in a backsplash. It's got a rear kitchen. My only concern is how well the backsplash is going to hold up during traveling. I'm thinking that the "peel and stick" mosaic would probably be the easiest, if I can find the colors I want. Has anybody done something like this? I am definitely handier than DH, so this will be MY project.

Sorry...I guess I missed the part about where we got them. I bought them direct Click Here. I sent them an email asking them to price match HD and they did! Had them in 2 days and they were ones that were backordered at HD for a month.

Thank you for answering my question asked above.

Smart Tiles are also on the Home Depot web site, can be ordered there.

They don't seem to be in stock in stores (maybe competing with all their regular tiles?) but you can order them online.

No problems with heat...or cold either. Mine have been up for a year and look just as good as the day I did them.

Where did you buy them?

Is there any problems with heat from the stove burners affecting the smart tiles?

Thanks, All! After gathering up and "processing" all of the info that you have given me, I know which route I am going. After Income Taxes are done and back, I am going to do the Smart Tiles. And I am increasing the area just a bit. Was only going part way up the wall on one side of the stove, then was trying to figure out what to do for a top border. But I am going to go all the way up instead. And there's a good "stopping point" just past the stove, too. Will let you all know how it turns out. I'm EXCITED!!! And, in one of the links, someone said that unless you had plenty of experience cutting out paper dolls, don't do it. I am going to show that tidbit to DH and use it to keep him out of my way :B I am the oldest of 5 girls, so paper-doll cutting is not a problem! Heehee!

I also put plexiglass sheets on the walls/doors behind where there are towel rods that can hold wet towels.

Here is another vote for Plexiglas. The previous owner of our '07 HitchHiker II installed it on the two walls beside and behind our stove. He fastened it to an existing wood trim strip with small screws through decorative washers. Looks very neat but is not as easy to remove as a Velcro-mounted one would be. Cleanup is very easy however.
