Tired of carpet in bedroom want wood floor

After 7 years of pretty hard use including about 3 months a year the last four years, the carpet in the bedroom looks really bad. Hate the think how many thousand square feet of wood floor we've put down in the last three houses. So, we have the knowledge and tools to do the work.

We put a laminate floor in the living area of a fiver which required floating and putting down quarter round. The bedroom area has too many ups, downs and arounds to put down quarter round and keep my sanity. Can't use solid wood flooring because of clearance issues with the slides.

Anybody got some suggestions including brands of non floating flooring that is thinner than solid wood?

OP here... Looked at a friend's '06 Diplomat which is very close to our unit. He had put Allure down in the living area and entrance a couple years ago. He is a house builder and has made many modifications to his MH. He put the Allure down using silicon between it and the OSB flooring so that it would give while moving and allow the floor to expand and contract. MH has a couple of years of use on the flooring and thousands of miles with temps ranging from below 0 to 100+. Still looked really good. Since I'm using it in the bedroom which is a lower traffic area, Allure should work for me.

Unfortunately I dont remember the brand. I bought it at carpeteria in goleta. ca when we were over by there a few years ago. I looked on their website and didnt see any hickory that looked like what I bought at the time. It was around 9/16" and the finish was warranted for 25 years.

X2. Your best bet for durability, ease of install, ease of cleanup, price and light weight will be vinyl. Vinyl technology has come a long way recently and you can get very high quality looking vinyl with texture now. Go to Home Depot/Lowes and look at what they have to offer.

I got a little over a thousand square feet of vinyl flooring (4" wide planks by 3 feet long) and installed that in my concrete underground basement this past summer. Came out great and cost 75 cents a square foot. You can't beat that with a stick!

I think you'll find that most nail-down strip or plank flooring is 3/4" or 11/16". Glue-down can have a smaller dimension like this engineered product which is 3/8". I would shy away from either of these as a solution for an RV as the subfloor has too much movement. IMO, you're better off with a floating floor and bite the bullet with trim. It doesn't have to be 1/4 round covering the expansion space, you can use a straight piece or even caulk the gap if cutting trim is beyond your endurance.

For boats you could purchase plywood flooring (8X4 sheets) that had a veneer of teak and holly. I would suspect that you could buy other such sheets of flooring
