I purchased all three on eBay.

Uniden UDR44 monitor/camera - $140

mount (eBay link) - $6

Stepdown (eBay link) - $10

I'll post the part list for the portable camera when it is done.

Yes, there is a site we use every year that cannot be backed in straight so the spotter will show obstacles in my blindspot.

Will the handheld be used by your spotter to point out obstacles?

I will post photos of phase 2 after it is completed. The objective is to create a handheld with the second camera that can be used to view blindspots when backing into tight spots.

The monitor mounted in the TV. Still have good signal strength.

When I first got the camera, I tested the transmission strength by placing the camera next to my cordless phone base and then next to the wireless router; both were in my living room which is roughly in the middle of the house. In both tests, I was able to walk about 45 feet outside the house before I lost the signal.

Camera requires 9V. Using the stepdown, I tap into the middle light - this way, I "remember" to turn on the running lights.

Using the monitor to help align the angle.
