'05 - '06 Presidential Holiday Rambler

Looking at HR 5th wheel, 36-38 foot. Any advice on these older HR units? Do they have the Lippert frame as I have read on this forum the Lipperts have a lot of problems? TV is a '15 Duramax GMC 3500 Crew cab with 8' bed and B&W Companion hitch.

Planning to do about six months per year. Thanks for your comments.

I've seen quiet a few, including alumascapes with the fiberglass/filon siding..my 06 has aluminum framing, but skin isn't metal siding. Most from 06' up have the non-metal siding.

Never heard of delamination issues, but can only speak on the 06' I've owned since Oct. of 07'...guess if they had de-lam issues in 05', they must have fixed them in 06:)...one beautiful 5er...

I may be incorrect, but isn't the 2005 model of HR the ones that had the delamination problems?

A older like maybe a 1998 HR Imperial and almost 40 ft long was traded for a shorter model because of the age of the owners. The rv owner threw me the keys and said go look and see if we were taken on the trade. That was still in wonderful condition. I was impressed in the quality.

I have the 5er in my sig., an 06' HR 37RLQ Presidential Suite. Purchased it brand new in 07' and it's still in great shape and solid as a rock...It's a quality built unit and we still get compliments on how nice it looks.

Has a GVW of 16950, loaded to 16,200# last weight check...WE love it and plan on keeping it for a while:)

We have a 33" Lakota which is also a Monaco product. It pulls like a dream.
Although it is heavy 14500 lbs. full of h2o. & 3 slides.

I have an 06 Holiday 33' Alumascape and have never had any frame problems at all. It pulls straight and is very stable. It has been a good trailer.

The HR units were pretty good quality. Monaco did run them down a bit during their ownership. HR's are generally pretty heavy, especially on pin weight once loaded for travel/ In the size range you are looking, you are pretty much into dually territory.

No, they don't have Lippert frames and are a well built unit.
