A local used RV lot has a 2005 Dutchman Classic 35SRV ToyHauler on his lot. Extra clean with a 5500 generator. The dealer is also know to be honest. (small town)

But this lot is know for his low prices and "move em out" style of sales. This particular TH has been there for 3 months or so.

I realize this is a 12 YO RV, but are there any know issues that everyone else knows about except me?? Anyone have the skinny on this particular TH??

Thanks,

The rubber roof would be the first concern. It'll cost a few bucks to get that replaced. They are only good for about 10 years unless they are maintained properly.

Brakes and wheel bearing would be next on the list to check.

Then the frige, stove, hot water heater and furnace.

Check the caulking as well at the corners to make sure they are solid and no water has been leaking behind the siding.

I have an 06 winners circle 36SRV, not had any issues with it in the 3 years I've owned it other than I rebuilt the susp and upgraded to 16" wheels and tires. I would at least have the dealer rebuild the susp system...usually a neglected area on RVs.

We put a lot of miles on our 2004 Victory Lane 35SRV. The things I would look at are:

1) make sure the walls are well attached. When we traded ours they would move side to side a fraction at the top. Look for loose corner trim or broken wallpaper.
2) make sure no soft spots in the garage floor
3) we had a lot of tire problems until we put Goodyear 614s on, then no problems
4) check the suspension very carefully - we broke hangers, shackles and springs.

If all of that is good, we really didn't have any other problems in the 7 years we had it.

It's 12 years old that's the biggest issue, I can't recall any massive ongoing problems. Best bet is to grab a PD Check List and spend a few hours going over it before you make an offer or hire an inspector to do it.
