110V air compressor for 5'er?

Okay I'm a relative noobie about to set sail in a Westerly direction for some warmer weather soon. Got a 35' OAL Arctic Fox 5'er. A couple of years ago I had a $100 Amazon gift card to burn and I applied to a Makita MAC7000.

I got tired of going to convenience store coin operated air pumps when I needed to touch up my motorcycle tires before a ride. It was money well spent.

This year after I got the 5'er and a Dually I treated myself to a Milton oil damped analog inflator for the compressor.

It's double ended so it's easy peazy to air up a truck or RV tire. The coolest thing is the "bleed" button. You just over-inflate a little and bleed down to the exact psi you need.

The compressor weighs 52# so I'm wondering if it's worth the payload to haul this thing w/ me on the road for two or three months?

Will this be a handy item for my rig or a waste of payload and space?

Use the air compressor attached to my 600hp Volvo powered Haulmark super C.

I carry a little inflator from Lowes.

Works on 120 VAC or 12 volt DC auto shutoff at any pressure you want. And its the size of a shoebox.

I have posted this several times. Having designed compressors for 35 years, I can't see why anyone in an RV needs the tank!! get rid of the tank and save weight and space. I carry a 125 psig compressor hose, gauge and chuck and no tank.

I just invested in the battery jumper/air compressor combo for $70 at Harbor Freight. I figured it's small, compact and dual purpose. The compressor seems rated quite higher than the small 110v compressors.

I use to carry an air compressor when we drug along our bicycles. Other than blowing up bicycle tires for other camper's kids, I've never had to use it for anything of my own. After carrying it for years and years, I started leaving it at home. Never missed it.

To bring along an air compressor or not? It's really what you need it for. If you still need to air up those motorcycle tires, then by all means, bring it along. If you no longer travel with the motorcycles, leave it at home.

More important than the weight, which is really insignificant for your rig combination by the way, is the space it takes to haul it with you. Do you need that space for something else? If so, leave it home. If you have real estate space available for it, then bring it along. Space is the determining factor, not the weight.

It's your call. How important is it to you to bring it along? Only you can answer that question.

I carry two. One for the tires that require 80 psi that stays in the TV and a much smaller one for our bicycle tires that only require 60 psi that is stored in the RV.

to start a flame on the subject, I am taking my small compressor out and putting in a small Co2 bottle with a regulator set for 125 psi.
BUT I still have a small compressor on the truck for the air bags and air horns with a tank.

Good tool to carry. Great for starting stubborn campfires & blasting dirt & dust out of hard to reach places. Not a bad leaf blower for the campsite too.

Check out the Milwaukee M12 Inflator. Good excuse to buy a couple more tools.

Great for most tires. Includes built in gauge and auto-stop. It is slow on high pressure (>70 psi) tires.

"The compressor weighs 52# so I'm wondering if it's worth the payload to haul this thing w/ me on the road for two or three months?"

You have a Dually and are worrying about payload??? That 29.5K Arctic Fox must be loaded to the gills!

Now you need an onboard Gen or portable to run that compressor when away from shore power.

It never ends!!!

I pack a 2hp Emglo twin tank compressor and inflate my 125psi tires with it easily.
