Drv elite suites 38' loaded for 5 people. Truck loaded with extra propane and a massive cooler full of ice and drinks. 1/3 tank of fresh gray and black.
Everyone in the truck. Want to take a guess???

I've pulled from Ohio across I-70, steep roads up to 14% grade.
I've never felt I need more power, better exhaust brake yes. Holds ok until you get above 6%.
The 14 model turbo gets laggy above 9,000 feet but could make 20 lb at 13000 if you nail it. Truck is like the other two brands, limited in speed by fear and common sense. I don't like beating the RV on rough roads.

Colorado doesn't know how to build a rest area.
New Mexico secondary roads are uneven and rough.

The weight 5520,8480,15,040 total was 29040.

All of this is with in my ratings and puts my RV at over 19,000.
Sitting near white sands NM. another week of towing to go.

Just vacation stuff here. I'd hate to see it if full time.
Left 2 kids at home also. Keeping this one under 20k would be an issue if FT.
I wanted a 36' but found his one at a sweet price. It just will fit in my 40' barn.

Climbing 4,600 feet in about 18 miles from Parowan to Cedar Breaks National Monument in Iron County, U-143 is the steepest paved state road in Utah with a maximum grade of 13 percent."I don't know any other state road that's steeper," said Scott Munson, district engineer for the Utah Department of Transportation's Cedar City office.

Only marked for 8% in stretches coming up from the South (via Cedar City). And this time of year the trip is extra worthwhile as the wildflowers are amazing.

My gasser and TT did fine with this last weekend, but I did sacrifice 2MPG to the cause. About 10,400' at the campground, so it was a good high altitude test for my systems.

You might want to try the 16% grade on Hwy 18 up to Big Bear Lake, CA. Oh and the 5 switchbacks. Makes an interesting trip. You need to wait for the traffic on the outside to clear because with the slope and switchback you need all the road.

So "some district Engineer for the UTAH DOT KNOWS albout EVERY state road in the USA....nope...not buying it...I know of state roads in WV & VA, secondary state routes that hit 13-14% in couple of places....BUT, I'm probably wrong, because some guy in UTAH says otherwise....oh...my bad, we don't have mountains east of the Mississippi:R

I-70 isn't 14% but turn off it and hit the side roads. They darn sure are. I knew I should have snapped a picture of that sign.

Out west we have a number of 6% grades some over 6 miles up and
the same down and over 6000ft high. You can tell the flat landers
by the way they pass you on the way up on of these grades but not
for long as you see them stopped do to over heating....As well on
the down side with brakes smoking trying to go down faster than
they came up LOL....My 5er weights in at 16000pds emty and 2000pds
more with a full load of stuff including 1/3 tank of water, some
gray and black water....Then I have a Honda EU6500ISAC generator
along with 5 gallons of Fuel and 5 gallons of gas in the back
of my Ford F350 crew cab dually putting me over 27k
