Need room for the family, including grandkids and two big golden retrievers. Been looking at what brands are left in the market middle ground. I have looked at a lot of brands and Jayco appears to be about the best for the money. First two fivers we have purchased, Teton and Sunline, the companies have gone bust. Really hope that trend does not continue. This model has a large rear bunk area, pretty good sized upper bedroom but the middle section is a bit tight, but it should work for us. I am looking for inputs from those that have later models, 2010 on, how well their trailers are holding up, any major issues that have not been resolved. Not too crazy about buying another trailer with a rubber roof but that looks likely once again. Thanks.

Lots of my family members have had Jaycos in the past and have always had good luck with them. I like the new 34.5 model a lot

We have a 2009 Jayco Designer that we bought new in Aug, 2008. We have averaged 100 nights a year in it and it still looks like new. They have great Customer Service, They are also one of the few that offer a two year warranty. I believe the they are a great company.
If it moves but shouldn't, use Duct Tape. If it doesn't move but should, use WD40.

I have a Jayco and love it. When I was looking at fifth wheels in the 30-40k range I felt like Jayco had the best construction.

Our first trailer was a 2003 Jayco Jayflight, which we had till 2008 when we bought our current Stellar toy hauler. And talk about holding its value, we sold it for more than we paid for it, 5 years later. Ever since we sold the Jayco, we are constantly commenting on how we miss it. It was extremely well built, and we thought it was the perfect floor plan. We are now preparing to order a fifth-wheel and have decided on another Jayco. In looking at the other brands, I couldn't find one that even compared in warranty, floor plan, options, and especially fresh water tank capacity. We dry camp a week at a time, and with kids, need the water. I have yet to hear of anyone who went wrong with a Jayco.

Thanks for the tip on the owners group. I should have thought of that. Forest River is not on our list for consideration.

A friend of mine. His mother and father had a Jayco 5Th Wheel (can't remember the model) and Full-timed in it for five years, and they loved their Jayco. No major issues other than the normal small things. They only replaced the Jayco when some one ran a red light and T-boned them, talking on a cell phone, and speeding (No Injuries to his parents). Replaced with the Help of RV insurance and they Purchased another Jayco 5th Wheel for another Six years. Jayco has a good reputation, and support program. Do go to the Jayco owners group mentioned above for more information on Jayco 5th Wheels, and ask more questions.
Hope this helps

Although not a later model we enjoyed our 2008 Jayco 314BHDS for four years and didn't have a single problem with it. IMHO Jayco make a good camper. We would've bought another Jayco when we were shopping for a 5th wheel but they didn't have a floorplan that met our needs/wants list. Have you visited http://jaycoowners.com/ and ask about how owners of that model say they are holding up?
