A/C E7 Error code

Hello all, I have an a/c problem and of course it happened on the weekend when my dealer is closed. Luckily I am just at home getting ready for a trip next week.

Here is the background. I have a 2012 Voltage 3200. This winter I had a 3rd AC installed in the garage. I have dometic thermostat 2 zone controlling bedroom and living room and the 3rd is controlled on the unit.

I brought it home from storage (kept in a covered storage) and started it up, running generator power. I turned all 3 ac units on and left for a while. I returned 30 minutes later and the living room ac and garage ac where off. My thermostat is giving me an E7 error code, which means loss of power to the unit.

I checked my inside breaker box and no breakers or fuses where tripped. I have turned it off and left it for a day and tried it again and it won't come back on.

Another curious thing is that my microwave won't come on either. I am not sure if it is related or if I just had not noticed before.

Is there another breaker or fuse on the outside for the AC? Any suggestions?

Thanks
Gerald

That Onan has a 30A breaker and a 20A breaker. Depending on where your ACs fall on the buss in the breaker panel, Either Onan breaker could be trying to power 1, 2, or even all 3 ACs. It sounds like one of the breakers tripped, killing power to 2 of the ACs. I don't think you will ever be successful running all 3 of the ACs on that genny. 6500 maybe.

That's funny about the Dealer not installing it if it couldn't handle it:B

we also found that we must have both front and back AC units on the same fan
setting. Low, High or Auto. One AC cannot be on low and the other on auto.

Thats ironic, I just had to install a new Due-Therm 5 button and it threw a EE code, not the E7. Anyway that is the exact procedure to reset it. Yes it turned to FF and was then functional. I was relieved knowing the next step would have been up on the roof with the sun beating down on me :E

When I lose half the AC power in my Jayco I go right to the generator. Mine has two breakers right on the unit. When I try to run the main air conditioner and the electric water heater it will pop one of the breakers.

Thanks for the reply. My reset steps wer ea little different, but I looked them up and reset it. Unfortunately it did not help.

Thanks again through!

What size genny? I don't believe my Onan 5500 could power 3 A/C's.

It is an Onan 5500. I would hope the dealer that installed the 3rd AC would not have done so if it could not handle it. They were also the ones I bought it from.

So I need to figure out the load pull from each AC, to see if it can handle it.

If it could not handle it, what would be the side affects? (how would the generator react?) Would it over load the generator and blow a breaker on the whole thing? Would other damage could it cause? I could not find any fuses blown or breakers thrown.

Thanks for your input.
