AP Products 024-1000 LP Tank Check - Dual Sensor with Monitor Kit

Anyone using this system if so how is it working , saw it on line but can't find many reviews on it . It sounds like a good idea but good ideas don't always turn out well in practical use , thanks

I recently put this system on and it is great!.. The folks at AP Products are fantastic to deal with, and the sensors seem to be almost spot on!.. I like the fact that I can look on my phone and see exactly how muck Propane I have left...

these sensors were pretty accurate when new but just not durable the sensors and the phone app were dependable but it is just a gadget just as easy to check the switch over window for red .

well I have to say after a year I have removed the sensors and given up on this system, when it worked it was good but this spring I could not get one of the sensors to pair with the app and the indoor led gauge never matched anything close to the app readings, the end came when I was removing a sensor to replace the battery and the rubber covering the sensor stuck to the tank and pulled the sensor and wire right out of the housing. It is a great idea and the phone apps is good the sensors need to be heavier duty and the spacers should be solid so when you tighten your tank holding bracket and the tank compresses the rubber spacer it and ends up crushing the sensor on the bottom of the tank. great idea just needs some improvement to make it worth the effort so for now I will go back to keeping an eye on my switch over to gauge my use. got to love gadgets some are great other not so much

Neat looking system. I've run out of LPG before and it can be a bit of a pain. I think I'll be ordering the system in the near future.

Replacing batteries annually isn't a big deal. I winterize my camper each year. I think if you just make installing new batteries part of the spring start up check list it should be a problem.

BTW, If you have an auto tank switch-over valve like most RVs have, you can use only one sensor. Simply put it on the "second " tank. When it starts reading low you know the "first" tank is empty and the "second" one is low.

If you can go a year without refilling, why do you even need this device? Fill your tanks at the beginning g of the season and be happy.

This is by no means a must have item it is more of a gadget for most unless the access to your tanks is difficult . With this you can check your propane level from anywhere within the blue tooth range of your phone or tablet. we are thinking of moving from a fifth wheel to a truck camper and the tanks are behind each other on a truck camper so this would be good for that application , but not a must have device at all in fact if you have the switch over regulator you just need to take a peek at the window on the regulator once in a while to see if the tanks switched over ,.

don't bother with the inside monitor it is not very accurate but does change but the phone app works much better , I have had to replace one battery this season out of the two sensors . I installed the sensors in the spring, one note of caution don't over tighten your tanks hold downs if you do you end up flatting out the rubber spacer and crush the sensor , there was a screw under mine and the sensor got damaged but still works , I am thinking of making some sort of solid spacer for next year the product seems to work well with the phone app .

Have had one since March or so. So far, works great, appears to be accurate. Nice to be able to check both tanks from inside, I bought the one with the monitor.

Dumb question here...with liquid propane being -44°, could you not use a IR Thermometer gun to determine levels? Since I haven't yet purchased my FW, I'm inexperienced in this particular topic.

I saw this a few months ago and was ready to buy a set when Life decided to use up my play money for other stuff. it is on my short list of stuff to get to play with. My tanks are a pain to get to and check so i really want these

Not cheap, but looks to use a technology that will provide accurate readings.
