Australian 5vers thought they disappeared

No , they have not disappeared although one company had to close down as the owner(70yrs) wanted a quiet life. Unfortunately they won awards for their aftermarket service
One thing that I have noticed most are building units about 26ft, which are easily pull able by Global Pickups. This is a 29ft non slide model pulled by an IVECO Daily. Comes as a Toy Hauler as well

Robert, I know that, from past references, you have regs on the rear overhang. What kind of pin weights do you see on these smaller FWs, since the axles tend to be much further back, compared to U.S. FWs? Do the mfrs weight them to the tail to help compensate for otherwise heavy pins?

I =still= love that fully independent off-road suspension, though! ๐Ÿ™‚

Probably what your referring too. A 34ft Patio Model. This company does not copy US 5vers either. Looks like it was made as a moveable Office with sleeping quarters. TV would be pretty unusual in the U.S. as well

Good question. I really do not have an answer. I was looking at a manufacturer called Winjana RV , who make some " rustic" looking mainly Off Road very lightweight 5th Wheelers.

Some of the streets and highways I've drove on lately probably needs that 'Off Road' suspension! lol's

The Ormistan 630 is proportioned more like our FWs; it's the longer ones that seem to have more span between the pin and axles.

Breakaway switch
50mm towing pin
Drop/wind down stabilizing jacks
4โ€ x 4โ€ Heavy duty bumper with internal storage & spare wheel carrier
Manual wind down landing gear

X a million!

That is from a small manufacturer as well. This is from the interior of a new model from of a Class C manufacturer

Summerlife RV, used to be Playmor RV , this is now their longest unit 30ft long. They have ditched the 35ft model, the Dodge RAM 3500 and the heavier IVECO Daily for a more lightweight 50C Model. They have really " Australianized" the unit by having a fairly contemporary interior and the heavy use of Composites

The Ford Ranger is really cool.

They do not have slides, but we're very " Australian" in their models, not much in common with US units. They do not have a real Off Road model, unlike two others or would have been three with the demise of Southern Cross Caravans

Price-wise what are you looking at?

Bulk of them up very much custom units, in other words you can get the manufacturer to do anything you want
About $120- $130,000 about a 1/3 more than a Caravan
