Bedroom slide on driver's side + sleep disturbance

Most of the 5ers that I have seen, the bedroom slide extends out into the curb side. I have seen a few that have the BR slide on the driver's side and it made me wonder if extending out into or bordering the neighbor's campsite would hinder sleeping if neighbors are noisy after we go to bed?

Considerin this, it seems to make more sense to have the slide extending into my campsite.

Well...actually, I had it all backwards! Most BR slides that I have seen have been on the driver's side. Then, I have seen a few on the passenger's side.

We were looking at one before, it was a Cedar Creek 36RD5S.
Bed slide was on the curb side and the wardrobe was on the street side, never thought about the fact it was sticking into the area we were in most of the time.

Ours extends to street side and the only time we ever had any problem was when the neighbors got up really early to go hunting and were very loud. I don't think it would have mattered which side the slide was because I am fairly certain they could have been heard thru the whole campground. I would venture to say that 99.9% of the time it is a non issue.

Most of the ones with curb-side BR slides seem to be wardrobe slides and not full bed slides.

My bedroom is in the back and has slides on both sides. Never a problem. Five slides total, two for the forward living room, one large kitchen slide on the drivers side and the two bedroom slides. 43 feet total and never had a problem getting into a camp site. We spend seven months a year in ours.

Mine is on the street side and never thought twice about noise. These things are insulated with tinfoil anyways.

I've seen one with the curb side slide.....didn't like it. Seemed to be "odd". We have driver side slide and we're in an RV park. What noise we hear, we'll hear anywhere -- I don't think moving the bed to the other side would help.

It doesn't matter what side of the fiver your head is located, if your neighbor is loud and playing music you will hear it.

We run our front air on "fan only" every night when we go to bed. It covers any outside noise but still allows us to hear our telephones and smoke detectors.
