I am looking for a cleaner wax that will do a good job of removing black streaks and provide a nice wax finish. I have a Holiday Rambler that has a painted aluminum smooth finish and vinyl decals. I worked on the front of the trailer this last weekend and used some goo-gone to remove some clear tape and also Thetford black streak remover. Used a nylon scouring pad to remove both the tape and the black streaks. Of course between the goo-gone and black streak remover the wax on the front is gone. I would like to try and find something that will do a good job of removing the black streaks on the rest of the trailer and also provide a nice finish without having to use a scouring pad to remove the black streaks. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Wax or just for cleaning, ZEP orange degreaser does a nice job and doesn't hurt the finish. I wax the parts that get streaks several times a year so they come off easily.
This may sound a bit weird, bur hubby uses WD 40. Removes the black streaks with out a problem, and leaves a nice finish as well. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!
Yep, Best there is. Removes black streaks, protects, and shines. I use it on my TT, My truck, and my car. Easy on, easy off. course you can rub alittle harder to remove stubborn scratches

I use Turtle Wax Rubbing compound on my '84 Allegro, which is also painted aluminum (except for the front cap which is fiberglass). In addition to black streaks, I had some brown stuff from the oak trees that nothing would remove. The rubbing compound takes it right off and then I hit it with a spray wax/cleaner. I wouldn't use the compound on vinyl stickers, though.
