Goodbye Sandpiper, Hello Montana!

It's been a while since I spent some time here, but check in now and again. Just wanted to share that we have sold our 2012 Sandpiper 365SAQ and took our new Montana 3790RD on its maiden voyage last weekend. We ordered it back in January and was delivered Friday before last. Our son was the reason we got it. He will be 16 in two weeks and said he felt he didn't need the bunkhouse anymore. We started looking and found the Montana. He and a friend stayed with us over the weekend and they had a great time with the TV in the rear as well as the sleeping arrangement. We bought each one of them an air mattress to put on the fold out sofas. Pretty comfy if I do say so myself. The 365 didn't go far as my work partner's daughter bought it for her and her three kids. Here are few pics.





The only down side to the new unit is someone at the factory forgot to attach the pull waste gate handles to the actual valves for the black and one grey tank:M Of course, we found that out while trying to leave the campground.

The 3790 and 3791 do not have rear caps due to the small windows on the back. Legacy package or not.

We bought a 2015 3610 rl legacy. It does have the rear cap, camera...6 pt leveling, power awning.... Took the thetford toilet out as it would not hold water. Took it to dealer. Thetford said to grease the seal,.. Really? On a new toilet... Anyway, I paid to have the toilet removed and install a dometic...no problems..

Gotcha,just the Rear Den models do not get a rear cap with the Legacy pkg because Montana does not say they Omit that feature on that model, just wondering but that makes sense why they do not put the rear cap on that model Thanx for the explanation

The rear of the Legacy Package does not have the rear cap. It has a hung fiberglass wall with a camera up top. I'm really not sure any of the 3790s come with a rear cap because the the top of the trailer is straight without the hump in the roof, causing a very tall rear wall of the unit. That would be a HUGE molded fiberglass cap.
