Grand Design momentum 350M

Looking to upgrade to the GD 350M. I am driving a 2014 F350 short bed. My questions are
1. Any recommendations on a hitch (the dealer said to get a sliding hitch)
2. Any recommendations on dealing with BlueDog RV.
3. BlueDog has the MSRP of 88K and a sales price of 74K. Do I take the 30-35% off the sales price or the MSRP.
4. Any one with a GD 350m input on how you like it.

I have a 2013 f 250 diesel short bed. I use the slider hitch by pullrite, not an issue at all,
GD makes a great product have a 350m, had same dumb **** issues as all the others but the service is top notch, no kissing a__ to get it fixed, I would tell you for me a slider hitch is the way to go, no worrying about damage etc. Brett

Check out the Andersen hitch as well. I have the 350 and love it. With a short bed and that hitch you can almost get to 90 degree turns. SRW may be an issue with the weight but I think some others are using them.

I recently posted about the 350M and hitch. I have a 2016 Ram 3500 Mega Cab and a 2016 GD 350M. I tested it carefully and determined I didn't need a slider this time. I've had a Pullrite Superglide in the past with a previous short bed Megacab and a different fifth wheel.

It's important to note I'm using a Reese Titan hitch mounted on rails with the Ram fifth wheel prep package. This combination as well as the rounded front cap design by GD allows for this to work. I backed the truck up intentionally as tight as I could to either side and completed a U-turn and the coach never came closer than 12" from the cab of the truck.

We've had the GD for 6 months now and love it. The energy management system works as designed. We use the coach frequently for local trips and have taken it to NC and GA mountains.

The only change I made was taking my nearly new GY G614's, load range E tires from old coach and placing them on the GD.

We have a golf cart in the garage area. The coach pulls like a dream and at roughly 38' it's easy to park and back up at most locations.

Short bed? Go with a slider. I have one in my short bed. Pullrite Superglide. Best choice I've made. Never have to worry.

I cannot speak to the 350 specifically (we have a 380TH), but I'd expect to negotiate to around 30% off MSRP, so somewhere in the low-mid 60's. With that said, since you're upgrading, I would not get in a big hurry and do your research. COme up with what you're willing to pay and stick to it. These guys will make plenty regardless of the discount. If the local RV dealer won't deal, it might be worth looking out of your area.

My F350DRW is an 8' bed so I have a traditional hitch, but I've run into lots of folks with short beds using slider hitches who're very happy with them.

You'll probably get more answers over on the Grand Design Owners' Forum. That said:

1) Many on the GD forum are getting by without sliding hitches with the Grand Design fifth wheels and short bed trucks. The new contoured front caps and forward-set pin boxes give a lot of clearance.

2) No.

3) 30% off the MSRP.

4) We have a Reflection rather than a Momentum. Again - post over on the GD forum.
