Highest capacity 15" NON-ST tires

Been curious about this and have been looking around, but really can't find any info. Anybody got anything on non-ST 15" tires and what's the highest capacity one?

You should be fine with the 15" and about 2000lbs per tire. My last 5er was 9600gvw and it had 6 lug so I went to 16" LTs cuz I was having a hard time finding 15" LTs that would have some margin. It looks like the 15" are rated higher now. I would trust an LT at max capacity more than a ST at several hundred under it's cap. Craig

Goodyear Wrangler HT in a LT235/75-15 C (50 psi) at 1980 lb capacity. Most LT tire makers carry this size.

And a Wrangler HT in a LT215/75-15 D (65 psi) at 2090 lbs capacity.

The Maxxis U-168 Chris posted shows a 225/70R15C 8 ply at 2469 lbs.

Vanco 2 from Continental another popular tire for trailer use in a 225/75R15 D load range at 2469 lbs. Some say this tire is mo longer sold but others say it is but in just a small part of the USA.

At one time Goodyear sold a G26 in a 225/70R15C load range D at 2470 lbs.

In the past we used some tires on a hay trailer that were 15". Abt 30 ply IIRC, aircraft landing tires.

I was searching for a 2500lb LT tire in 15" and couldn't find one, so now I have 16" wheels.
