njtony--why don't you take a picture of that sink and post it here. Someone may have suggestions.

Our plastic sink has spider crackes in it.no leaks just looks like ****. We have been looking for as sink, but due to configuration finding replacement has been difficult. No luck yet.mcg does no offer one.

I would just replace the sink. To me, it would be less work than trying to patch it (and it would never look good after that).
But if you are committed to repairing it, go to a marine supply store and get some patch material for the gel-coat finish on a boat.

I would replace it with a stainless sink, unless it's a built-in one-piece sink/countertop...

I agree about the 2-part epoxy and duct tape.

I would use a 2 part epoxy, available at wally world or lowes. I would use the epoxy to attach a piece of aluminum foil to the under side of the sink. After is set up you can color the aluminum from the top and fill the spot level with the inside of the sink. It is possible to add color to the epoxy when you mix it. Nail polish should color it well.

Depending on the size of the hole? A two part epoxy with a 5 minute cure time will patch it just fine. You may have to layer it with some backing (duct tape would work) several small layers would probably work better than a thick glob.
Give it a try,

I'd replace the sink with a metal one. Plastic is an accident waiting to happen, as you found out, so no use repairing it and waiting for the next such incident. Replacing the sink is not that tough.
To answer your question though, pretty much any epoxy made for plastic will fix it, but it will undoubtedly leak slightly and you will always be able to see the fix. You will have to put something behind the hole to hold the epoxy while it dries (securely duct tape a piece of mylar or something similar).

Geez, I never thought of a plastic sink and was wondering just how hot that dish was if it could burn a hole in a SS sink.

The question is: how big is the hole?

Might ask at the hardware store. Maybe epoxy of some sort.
